Maximize your workspace in Google AI Studio! This script transforms the static left-side navigation panel into a sleek, auto-collapsing sidebar that expands on hover. It removes the default hamburger menu button for a cleaner, more modern interface.

Features

  • Maximizes Horizontal Space: The sidebar collapses into a very thin vertical tab on the left edge of the screen, giving you more room for your prompt and its output.
  • Intuitive Hover Action:
    • Simply move your mouse over the collapsed tab to smoothly expand the sidebar to its full width.
    • Move your mouse away, and it automatically collapses back.
  • Cleaner UI: The default "Toggle navigation menu" (hamburger) button is removed, as it's no longer needed. The entire interaction is handled by the hover.
  • Polished Animations: The sidebar smoothly animates its width, and the navigation content (icons and text) gracefully fades in and out for a professional feel.
  • Extremely Lightweight: This is a pure CSS-based modification, making it incredibly fast and efficient. It runs at document-start to prevent any layout flicker on page load.
