Wow, this is perfect. I was honestly looking at something that'd just stop the annoying walled garden popups on IG, but this is so much better. Easy to use and VOLUME CONTROL FOR VIDEOS. Only side effect is no comments. Whether that's a downside or upside is subjective, but I don't miss it.

Since I for some reason can't edit my previous post, I'd just like to add, after having used this script a bunch these last many weeks, over a month in fact, that the script does break from time to time, and maybe it's just my browser which has a bunch of crap extensions causing this, but a quick refresh fixes it for me. It's most likely just Meta/IG being serving a crappy webpage to begin with, or maybe the script loads too fast causing the slow drip of data from IG to make the page break, idk, but like I said, a refresh tends to fix it.
And it's still worth it! Because default IG is just a horrible experience.
