Download from nexusmods.com without wait (Manual/Vortex/MO2/NMM), Tweaked with extra features.
MO2 uses the same "nmm://" protocol / URLs as vortex/nexusmodmanager, so thats what its looking for, they use the same URLs, the issue is that the script dosent seem to find it, could you send the link to the page you are getting this on so I can try and reproduce it
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/158441?tab=files
Happens with every single mod to be fair
I've been downloading stuff with the script disabled using MO2 just fine, so I just wanted to check in and see if there's maybe something wrong somewhere; if you can't see anything wrong, then we can just chalk it up to my setup being wrong somewhere and move on, don't worry :D
Hi! I wanted to report the same issue. The only difference for me is I'm using Vortex instead of MO2.

I did manage to get this error by logging out of my account, so idk double check that you're logged into the site?, as this file works for me with my MO2 installation once i did log in
& also check that you are on the newest update of this script just in case.
I'm stil most likely going to make some changes to modmanager download handling to make it a bit more efficient, as the current way is a bit janky, but i made it like that for the point of being more reliable, but its kinda weird.

Weird, I'm going to make some changes to modmanager downloads, as its kinda messy and thats the only thing that sticks out to me in trying to figure this out,
What browser & userscript-manager are you using, so I can try and recreate this issue, because for me it works.
Thanks for reporting
Yup, tried a bit of everything reinstalling and relogging into stuff but i keep getting it
I'll chalk it up to some jank on my end and call it a day; thank you very much for the assistance, I'll keep a lookout for any updates in case things just fix themselves :D

i just pushed a quick update (1.1.13), it defaults to a simpler NMM(/mo2/vortex etc) handling, and keeps the old way as a fallback if it fails, try this version maybe, greasyfork normally takes a small while to fully push the updates so it might not be visible as downloadable yet/be visible but not actually update, if that is the case you can install it directly from my github for the time-being;
https://github.com/torkelicious/nexus-no-wait-pp
Otherwise i am a bit stumped, if it is still broken and not something on your end (or maybe i messed up something with browser/userscript compatability), it would be helpful to see the console logs,

I downloaded tampermonkey on brave browser and tried with my recent update 1.1.13 and it seems to be working fine for me with MO2, I have yet to try Vortex but since they both use the nxm link proxy i would expect it to behave the same, I might test with vortex if I find the time to set it up, but brave w. tampermonkey is working for MO2, I will try and setup vortex modmanager for testing though just to double check.

I just downloaded Vortex, and tried a mod-manager download via Brave browser & Tampermonkey, it worked fine for me and downloaded via Vortex, Please try the newest version of the script, otherwise I don't really know what is causing issues for you
Same problem on Vivaldi (without VPN, tracing blocks or anything) and Violent Monkey. Just installed the script.

could you post the a modpage you are getting this error on and/or console logs in this case, i've never used vivaldi but i'd expect it to work as most other chromium-based browsers

But happens as topic starter - on every mod page. On Vivaldi may be a problem because of different design of download page.
Chiming in to report the same issue - on Firefox, Tampermonkey, version 1.1.13, all nexus downloads fail with:"[Nexus No Wait ++]
Download failed: Could not find NMM download URL in response
(Are you logged in?)"
I've logged out and back in and the issue persists.
Last night everything was working fine (MO2 lists the filetime on my last successful download as 9:01PM EST 9/3/2025).
For completeness, the file in question is the main file from https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/67479?tab=files
But all files I've tried to download today have failed, no exceptions. I'm able to download from nexus normally by disabling the script.
I believe I accepted an update to this script sometime last night after this download, I suspect the update broke it on certain systems.
I want to test the version of the script I had before that update, but I wouldn't know where to find that.

It works for me on firefox w. violentmonkey, if you want to check an old version it was most likely one of these versions from 1-2 days ago;

Thanks, 1.1.9 had a few fallbacks so I think i'll try to reiplement them, it seems as if different download methods in the code work for different people?, weird but i'll work on re-adding some of these fallbacks after some testing

Thanks, I've found that v1.1.9 is the latest version that works on my end.
Version 1.1.10-1.1.13 all fail the same way.

i've updated the script once again, i've re-added a bunch of fallbacks / dl-url extraction methods that existed in 1.1.9 that i thought werent actually being used, but i guess they were for some people, so sorry about that.
if greasyfork isn't showing this updated version yet (usually it takes some time) you can get it from my github now, I hope this fixes most issues. Pretty sure a recent nexus site update is what has caused things messing up recently, but i am not fully sure.
try 1.1.14;

raw (install url via github): https://github.com/torkelicious/nexus-no-wait-pp/raw/refs/heads/main/NexusNoWaitPP.user.js
much thanks for helping out

Thanks!

Good to hear, hope it stays that way from now-on :)
Can confirm, everything works perfectly now

If any more issues arise i would advise everyone to open a new comment thread (or open a github issue) as this thread is getting rather long
Thanks for reporting issues and for the feedback, it is much appreciated!

I am getting the "[Nexus No Wait ++] Download failed: Could not find NMM download URL in response" error, but the title of this script mentions it should work with MO2?
Just to be 100% sure, I don't even have API key for NMM active and my "Mod Manager Download" button works fine with the script disabled, with the download correctly processsed to my MO2 once all the waiting is done. I have tried running this via both Greasemonkey and Tampermonkey, to no avail.
Is there an option somewhere I'm missing, to make sure it looks for a MO2 URL rather than a NMM one?
