This script automatically checks for suffix abbreviations as you edit a segment's street name in the Waze Map Editor. Based on what is entered, it will verify or make suggestions based on Australian mapping standards.

It primarily verifies and suggests suffixes by examining the last part of the entered street name, comparing with approved suffix abbreviations and AS/NZS 4819:2011. However, it may not encompass all mapping standards; for instance, it will only detect the final occurrence of “Road” in “Main Road Service Road”.
