That button is only active when you send a message.... not when you refresh the chat.
I'll probably fix it soon.
I made a implementation, it's not perfect, but now you can already do this.

So happy that there are updates being made on this script again! :D It was genuinely one of the best ones out there. The site is borderline unusable for me without it. I went to try it out and there seems to be an odd bug where the Resume Generation button is permanently greyed out? Not sure what's goin' on since I did a fresh install. I'm using Firefox if that helps at all.
