Will YouTube player shortcut keys still work, when I click outside the player?

It happens that when I try to Like a comment or write a comment, player shortcut keys won't work. Will this script fix that or not?

I guess it's because of Chrome security update? Where you have to interact with the player, before you can use shortcut keys of the player?

Apologies for not maintaining the script for so long ;-) (The recent 1.2.0 update fixes the controls after clicking outside the player)

Which extension did you find that has similar functionality? I didn't find any.
