Hides those pesky Visual Novels everyone's complaining about.
Directly inspired by https://gf.qytechs.cn/scripts/464588, but instant. Requires no extra network traffic, so Itch.io's servers will thank you. However, as a consequence, is much more limited. This script cannot filter out tags, only Genres. Since Visual Novels seem to be the ones people complain about, that's the one I chose, but it could be modified easily to instead filter out something like survival games. This directly searches the listed genre in the page HTML, so major updates to the platform may break this script.
Keep in mind that this does not guarantee that the games in the resulting list are not visual novels. It will only hide games that outright tell you that they are visual novels as their primary genre. For example, when loading the Top Visual Novel list out to ~1600 games, 1466 are hidden. The rest are still distinctly Visual Novels, but are instead labelled as Survival, Simulation, Role Playing, and others. Some games do not list a Genre at all. The only method to catch these games as well would be to use the script by fp22june, linked above. While their script is slower, it's much more robust.
Some code is directly reused from fp22june's script, and thus their license has also been copied over, which is public domain.
