Enhance your YouTube experience with the "YouTube Transcript Copier" userscript 📝, which simplifies the process of copying video transcripts directly from YouTube. With just one click, you can save the entire transcript, complete with timestamps, to your clipboard, ready to be pasted wherever you need it. This adds a button next to the transcript button in the description which you can press to copy the transcript.

Features:

  • One-Click Copy 👆: Adds a "Copy Transcript" button to YouTube videos, enabling you to copy the entire transcript without hassle.
  • Timestamps Included ⏱️: The copied transcript includes timestamps, so you have the context of each line.
  • Automatic Updates 🔄: The script includes an update URL for convenient, automatic updates.

Installation:

  1. Install a userscript manager such as Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey in your web browser.
  2. Click the script's installation link or navigate to the script's page on GreasyFork.
  3. Press the "Install" button 💾 on the script page.
  4. The userscript manager will handle the rest, and the script will be ready to use on YouTube.

How to Use:

  1. Navigate to any YouTube video 🎬.
  2. Below the video, next to the "Like" 👍 and "Dislike" 👎 buttons, you'll find the new "Copy Transcript" button.
  3. Click this button to copy the transcript to your clipboard 📋.
  4. Paste the transcript wherever you need it 🗂️.
