Opens non-link buttons on hellorubric.com (UNSW/ARC version) in a new tab upon middle-mouse click.
This script is made for my own use, no warranty or guarantee is provided in any way whatsoever. It is generated using github copilot and seems to work for my needs (and surprisingly-- generated in one shot without any corrections!).
It allows UNSW students to open css-buttons (such as ARC society pages) on campus.hellorubric.com in a new tab, instead of being redirected to the club page, and resetting all search parameters and scroll progress upon returning. It might work for other hellorubric pages, I'm unsure as it is not tested.
Crashout note: WHO MADE THIS BUTTON DESIGN??? Absolutely insane. Just make each button a link, like every other website ever? Instead, each button is an event which seems to rewrite the url in the current tab or something? Truly baffling design choice, and I would think also awful for accessibility software. I'm completely at a loss for words as to why it was done this way, more effort has gone into making the user experience worse, so I must be missing some really good reason behind it)
