AO3 Quick Bookmarks

Auto-fills bookmarks with a clickable link "Title – Author – 0 words, Chapter 0/0". Adds a quick-save button that pops up in the corner when you scroll up, used to capture mid-read jumps. Compatible with Entire Work. Shows +new chapters/words on the bookmarks page.

Demo of a mid-read jump link: Cursed Reality - Lost_In_The_Muse - 52,374 words, Chapter 2/14
Only used if you are in the middle of the text or in Entire Work, simple link otherwise.

  • Triggers when you click the corner button and the Bookmark button.
  • Update mechanism: automatically replaces its own links with that of the current chapter, preserves other text.
  • On work pages, displays the bookmark above the title.
  • If you accidentally hit the button and got sent down, the "Bookmark: link" above the box will send you back up and close the box.
  • On the /user/bookmarks page, if the chapter total changed, displays +N words/chapters in: green (caught up), orange (dropped), gray (dropped no update). Therefore, green indicates that you were caught up with the work and should read chapter N+1 next.
  • Porting links to this script is done manually by opening each work to the right chapter and pressing "Edit Bookmark" > "Update".

Experimental: Any tag containing a case insensitive 'fav' gives it a pink outline, 'watch' gets green.
Unused: Passively scrapes the bookmarks from the /user/bookmarks page and displays the total at the top for use in search.
