*****ATTENTION*****

This patch exists to fix some issues with hitDB that some users were having as of 06/02/2015. This patch will delete the last 40 days of your hitDB history, allowing you to then switch hitDB scripts to the updated version, which should fix any future issues.

FOLLOW ALL STEPS AS INSTRUCTED! Failure to do so may result in your hitDB becoming corrupted. As always, make sure you have a current backup of your hit DB in whatever state you have it It might be the only thing you can salvage if something messes up.

  1. Install this script
  2. Uninstall or remove the hit database script
  3. Visit https://www.mturk.com/mturk/dashboard
  4. Make sure the date range***** is within 40 days, no longer than 45. If it is longer than 45 days, do not update, something's gone wrong.
  5. Click "OK"
  6. Wait for 2-3 minutes. The script can't notify you when it's complete, so give it PLENTY OF TIME, especially if your hitDB is large (>20k hits in the past 40 days)
  7. Disable/remove this script
  8. Re-install the updated version of hit database
  9. Click "Update" and wait

*****This script will pop up a confirmation box on your dashboard. If you don't see it, make sure you have your popup blockers and everything uninstalled.

You shouldn't get the "numbers don't match" error anymore. Make sure when you update to turn off all turkmaster, hit scraper, page monitor, what have you...anything that causes page refreshes on mturk should be turned off to ensure your backup goes smoothly.
