This userscript adds a menu item to the Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey extension that allows you to easily download the high-resolution thumbnail of the current YouTube video.

🔧 How It Works

The script extracts the video ID from the YouTube URL and constructs a direct link to the high-resolution thumbnail:

https://img.youtube.com/vi/<video-id>/maxresdefault.jpg

Clicking the menu option opens this image in a new browser tab.
