Something happened within the past few days or so, all the little images that link to the sites have turned into a purple square with a bunch of white dots. Screenshot is included. I tried clearing site cache / disabling adblock but still the same. Otherwise still works and has been very useful, thanks.

I'm pretty sure that you're using Firefox right?

It works well on the latest version of edge and I never had that issue before.

Users on MAL that use Firefox often have issues with images, even the MAL website default images.

I'm using the latest version of Google Chrome.

Ah. I guess something happened with Imgur, it is completely blocked in my region (United Kingdom). When I inspect element with chrome the full image shows "Content not viewable in your region". I Uploaded the image.
The images show correctly when using a VPN, but interestingly after I disable the VPN and refresh the images are working again. Weird.

I used imgur a lot and so does other MAL users and coders.

I've lots of MAL scripts and other ones that use imgur as well, I don't think that's worth updating all of them just to make sure than an image works, but thanks for letting me know that.

You should probably contact imgur directly or google why it's blocked where you live, and ask them to unblock it, or it could also be your ISP issue so contacting them may also fix your issue.

If you do any of that, let me know the official reason because I'm also curious to know it.

I recommend that you try all the 3 suggestions that I said, because imgur is probably the most popular and the biggest image hosting website out there, so you would have this issue in the whole internet and other programs, not just this single script...

It seems like its just another victim of OSA (Online Safety Act) that U.K implemented recently. Sites that have 18+ content need to implement some form of identification (usually in the form of Photo ID/Credit card etc) for UK users. If they don't they can be fined. Most big sites have complied with this new UK regulation. For imgur it seems they have decided not to go through the hassle and just block UK entirely from accessing their site. OSA also requires platforms to take steps to protect children, including minimising the amount of the data they collect from them, which apparently seems to be something Imgur was doing.
